“Sasayama Castle town hotel NIPPONIA” is a renovated accommodation. The concept of the hotel is that the entire town of Sasayama Castle, where is designated as one of the national historic sites and has about 400 years history is considered as one hotel. All buildings being renovated are highly valued historical buildings such as famous mansions, warehouses, and a teahouse. “Nipponia Onae” is one of them. It used to be a banker’s residence in the Meiji period.

Let's stay at World Heritage Site! "Shoshichi Gokayama" - Toyama

“Shoshichi” is an old Japanese folk house, located in the village of Ainokura gassho-zukuri in Gokayama. Gokayama was designated as a World Heritage Site, also granted the highest rank of three stars from Michelin. “Gassho-zukuri” is an architectural style, which uses thatch for a roof, and makes roof steep to avoid snow coverage. They are often seen in heavy snow regions, Gokayama and Shirakawago. The name, "Gassho-zukuri" comes from its look: putting hands together and fingers pointing upward in prayer.

This is one of the mystery places where only hotel guests and residents can enter in the nighttime. You can relax and spend a quality time surrounded by rustic and calm scenery of Japan. At a hearth, you can enjoy the taste of local specialties, a salt-grilled Iwana fish and Gokayama tofu and more.

Nostalgic Onomichi's Sukiya-zukuri "Setouchi Minato no Yado Izumo Yashiki" (Hiroshima)

Onomichi is a tourist spot where faced to the beautiful Seto Inland Sea and has nostalgic atmosphere. In this famed town, there is “Izumo Yashiki”, which was built in the “sukiyazukuri” architectural style, and used as a station by Matsue Domain of Izumo province. As sencha-shitsu was built in site, you can experience an authentic tea ceremony. There are only two rooms; the room on the first floor is “Tsuki (moon)” and the one on the second floor is “Kumo (clouds)”. If you wish to stay at both rooms, whole house rental is available.

At "tsuki" room, there is a “tsukimi (enjoyment of the moon)” stand facing to the garden, so you can enjoy luxury evening drinks while watching the moon. At “kumo” room, you can enjoy an extensive view of Onomichi-suido.
