Lake Yamanakako is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Here, you will experience a joyful ride on the amphibious bus “KABA,” (=hippo) a type of vehicle that is quite unusual in Japan. First, KABA will take you for a drive in the forest close to the lake, and then splash right into the lake! The picturesque scenery of Mt. Fuji as you cruise around is simply breathtaking.

Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, and a family slope reserved for beginners. There are also terrain parks complete with kickers, rails, and boxes for snow boarders. Small children can safely sled or simply have fun in the snow at “Chibikko (kids) Island.”

Located near Mt. Fuji and surrounded by the abundant greenery of Aokigahara Jukai Forest, the Fugaku Wind Cave is a lateral type cave with gentle slopes made by lava flows. Children and seniors can easily tour through the cave. The temperature inside is about 0 to 3 degrees Celsius, so be sure to wear warm clothes and enjoy!
