In 1930, Laox started with peddling of electric appliances, after setting up a store in Akihabara soon after the war, it became known as a leading home electronics retailer. It was in 1976 that it launched the name of Laox. Because of TV commercial, its name became popular nationwide.
In 2009, Laox became a subsidiary of SUNING Appliance Company, which is the China’s largest home electronic retailer. From this point, they shifted their business strategy and operate as Duty-Free Store targeting foreign tourists. From 2015, they expanded the lineup of the product as a General Duty-Free Store.
In addition to home appliances and watches, they are developing a variety of product lineups including female shoes and clothing, cosmetics, healthy foods, general foods, games, and many more goods.
