Okinawa is a popular sightseeing spot, three hours away from Tokyo by direct flight (two and a half from Osaka), and from Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Peking, you can reach Okinawa in one and a half to three hours. Its mild climate throughout the year, and the exotic cityscape that fostered the Ryukyu Kingdom culture are attracting attention from foreign tourists, and the number of visitors is increasing every year. “Naha” is what you can call the gateway to Okinawa. Here, we will introduce you to hotels that combine original facilities and services, and are convenient when going to popular tourist destinations such as Kokusai-dori Street.

A quiet urban resort, though just three minutes away on foot from Kokusai-dori Street! - “Hyatt Regency Naha Okinawa”

The “Hyatt Regency Naha Okinawa” is located in the Sakurazaka Area, which connects Kokusai-dori Street in the middle of Naha, and the exotic historical Tsuboya Yachimun dori Street. The hotel's locale is convenient, 20 minutes away from Naha Airport, and 3 minutes away by foot from Kokusai-dori Street. Although it stands in such a great location, once you are inside, you won't feel the bustle of the city, and only a quiet atmosphere of an urban resort unfolds.

When you go inside from the entrance, the flowing water and an open lobby where natural light comes, welcome you. Various works of art placed in several areas should be an eye catcher.

More than 300 items of “Ryuku glass” and “Yachimun pottery” are displayed in all the rooms, lobby, elevator hall, etc. The unique atmosphere created by the harmony of an international brand and traditional Ryukyu culture is characteristic of this hotel.

The colors of the room interior are in vivid red and blue, under the concept of “feel the wind and water of Okinawa.” You are sure to spend a comfortable time in a space where Ryuku culture and a luxurious hotel are mixed together.

You will enjoy a relaxing time in the soothing atmosphere of the garden, which seems more like a resort than a city center.

Reserved only for hotel guests, there is a swimming pool (open through March to November), a fitness center, and a Jacuzzi.

One in five are repeat guests, and tourists and locals gather here - “ESTINATE HOTEL”

Lastly, we would like to introduce you to “ESTINATE HOTEL,” a hotel whose exterior is quite distinct from other hotels. It is located along the Japan National Route 58, 15 minutes away by automobile, and about 10 minutes away on foot from Kokusai-dori Street. They have 88 rooms, which is not many, but approximately 80 percent of the guests are foreign tourists, and one in five are repeat guests, which makes it a popular hideout-like hotel.

The secret to its popularity lies in the layout of the facility. Under the concept of “creating a place where people gather,” the reception desk and restaurant lounge are not separate. When you check in, you'll see guests having a meal together as they mingle with the staff.

The name of the hotel comes from the word “Destination” with the first letter “D” dropped, coining the word “Estiation,” which is where the name of the hotel came from. It means, “Our hotel is not just a place to stay, but through meeting other people, one will find a new destination to travel to. We want to be a hotel where one can discover a wonderful 'next' within an incomplete journey.” This concept has been loved by many foreign tourists.

White is the basis of the interior of the guest rooms, but wooden texture is used in various places in the room, creating a warm atmosphere.

The food has some Okinawan ingredients, but their menu is mostly meat, pasta, sandwiches, etc. to make it easier for the foreign guests to eat.
