A popular firework event is held in port town Kobe, which is less than 30 minutes from Osaka. From the sea of Kobe Port, near the famous Meriken Park, set fireworks, shakudama, Star Mine, and others are launched. As Kobe is known for its beautiful night scape, it makes the fireworks even more gorgeous. To celebrate Kobe Port's 150th year anniversary, the number of launches will be 1.5 times more than the average years. They plan to set off 15,000 fireworks, the largest number in its history.
